Stephanie, her mother, is a business graduate from AFPA. Her LinkedIn profile suggests she has been a self-employed entrepreneur for the last decade. As per La Nouvelle République, she is the President of the Avoine-Beaumont club.
She has four siblings including a younger sister Elina Nemour. Though she pursued artistic gymnastics like Kaylia, she competes at the national level in France.

Nemour started gymnastics at age 4. Her mother enrolled us in the sport as her elder sister was already receiving training at a local gym.
Career
Kaylia Nemour started competing at the international level representing France in 2017. Her debut event was Tournoi International followed by Top 12 Series 2 where her team secured gold.
That year, she also participated in an all-around event at the French Elite Championships and secured the 2nd position. Her team was placed 2nd twice at the Top 12 Final in 2018 and 2019.
She won three gold medals each at the 2019 French Elite Championships and Mediterranean Championships. In 2020, she secured gold medals in all competitions except balance beam at the 2020 French Test Meet.
In 2021, she won gold in uneven bars at the French Elite Championships. Before kickstarting her senior career, she changed her nationality to represent Algeria following a dispute with the French Gymnastics Federation.
She won three medals including two gold in her debut competition representing Algeria at the 2022 Arab Championships. The next year, she won gold in all-around at the African Championships and was placed 2nd in uneven bars at the 2023 World Championships.
Before appearing at the Olympics in 2024, she won gold in uneven bars four times in a row at the RomGym Trophy and the World Cups in Cottbus, Baku, and Dabu. She repeated the same in the 2024 Paris winning a gold medal for her country in uneven bars.
