Emma Finucane is a British track cyclist. She represented Great Britain in track cycling at the 2024 Summer Olympics.
Born on 22 December 2002 in Carmarthen, Wales, the 21-year-old cyclist achieved numerous feats including an Olympic gold medal.

Personal Life
At age 8, Finucane began cycling at a local velodrome with her sister. Eventually, she began racing with the club named Towy Riders.
Rory: I remember her first race,” recalls her father, Rory. “You could see then that she enjoyed it so much; it made her competitive. She put a lot of effort in and was really keen.
Susie: She just enjoyed racing. She didn’t mind if the weather was bad. It was the speed too – she always liked to go fast.

After a while, she trained at the National Velodrome of Wales. She moved to Manchester, England, at age 18, to pursue a career in track cycling.
Career
Emma Finucane began competing in junior competitions in her teenage years. One of her first international events was the European Junior Championships where she won gold in the time trial and placed second in the sprint and team sprint.
In 2020, she won two silver medals at the British National Track Championships. She won multiple medals at the 2022 British National Track Championships including gold in the team sprint event.
Later that year, she was placed third twice at two events at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. In the 2023 National Track Championships, she won gold in all four events held in track cycling. She displayed almost similar results at the 2023 UCI World Championships and 2023 UEC European Championships.
Before making her Olympic debut in 2024, she initially participated in the 2024 UEC European Championships and won gold & silver in sprint & team sprint respectively. At the 2024 Paris, she won gold in the team sprint with Katy Marchant and Sophie Capewell.
