Personal Life
Adedayo grew up in Canning Town. She pursued a Bachelor of Legislative Laws degree from Brunel University from 2008 to 2011.
She studied law as her mother wanted her to become a lawyer. During her time at university, she was also quite interested in pursuing a law career and only pursued acting part-time.
While pursuing her bachelor’s degree, she received acting training at the Identity School of Acting. Though she juggled between law and acting, she graduated with a 2:1 degree grade.
Career
Adelayo Adedayo debuted with the TV series The Bill in 2007. She played Estelle Makobi in one episode. Three years later, she made a cameo appearance in Skins followed by M.I.High in 2011.
That year, she made her debut feature film appearance with Sket. Her first lead role was in Some Girls in 2021 where she appeared in the role of Viva Bennett in 18 episodes across three seasons.
In 2013, she acted in Chance Meeting (short) and Gone Too Far as Girl and Paris respectively. She played Kayla in five episodes of season eight of Law & Order: UK in 2014.
She continued making a few more appearances before acting as Lauren in 12 episodes of Timewasters. In 2018, she appeared as Agnes Lebachi in Origin. Followed by The Capture and Unsaid Stories in the next two years.
She appeared in The Responder as Rachel Hargreaves in 10 episodes across two seasons. For this role, she was nominated for the Best Female Supporting Actor Award at the 2023 Royal Television Society Programme Awards.
In 2024, she played Dionne Ofori in the Netflix TV series Supacell. She appeared alongside a talented cast that included Tosin Cole, Josh Teduku, and Nadine Mills.
