Walkes was raised in Hamilton, Ontario. She became interested in theatre during high school and performed in local community theatres.
She pursued Musical Theatre at the Academy of Musical and Dramatic Arts and graduated in 2011. Also, she attended Brock University to pursue a degree in English and Dramatic Arts.
Her husband is Mets Kramer. The couple wedded on 16 October 2016 and have been happily married to date.
Career
Samantha Walkes made her debut in 2016 with a cameo role in Motives & Murders: Cracking the Case. She decided to pursue acting full-time in 2017 and joined the Shaw Festival Theatre as an actress/singer.
In 2018, she joined the Great Canadian Theatre Company and Jukebox Hero Productions Inc. She stuck with both these companies for almost four years. During this time period, she made only a single appearance i.e., Queen Lulea in Santa’s Castle.
She became active in 2022 by making four appearances that year. Before that, she appeared as Cassiopeia Bright in Murdoch Mysteries.
The most prominent is the role in 2022 was of Dr. Segar in Orphan: First Kill. Her other appearances in 2022 were The Kings of Napa, Good Sam, and The Holiday Swap. Next year, she acted as Christine Valentine in The Changeling.
In 2024, she initially appeared in TV series such as Hudson & Rex and The Big Cigar. However, her role as Elle Monteiro in the Prime Video series Cross stood out to the audience.
