He attended a charter school BASIS in Arizona. For higher studies, he studied politics at Occidental College and graduated in 2015.
Career
Nik Dodani made his acting debut with the TV movie Living With Abandon in 2008 per IMDb. He became active a few years later after finishing higher studies.
His comeback came with the TV series The Comeback in 2014. He played Harry in two episodes. Later that year, he made a cameo in Selfie. It was followed by a few minor roles in Tooken (2015), The Good Neighbour (2016), Idiotsitter (2017), etc.
His first TV lead role was in the Netflix TV series Atypical in 2017. He acted as Zahid in 37 episodes across four seasons and four years. In 2018, he played Pat Patel in 13 episodes of the 11th season of Murphy Brown.
It was also in the same year he made his standup debut by appearing on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in September. Three years later, he secured his first voice gig in the animated TV series The Owl House. His other voice roles include Strange World, Big Nate, and Hailey’s on It! (2023-2024).
In 2024, he appeared in the role of Praveen in the feature film Twisters. Directed by Lee Isaac Chung, the movie featured famous stars such as Glen Powell, Daisy Edgar-Jones, and Anthony Ramos.
