Career

Mira Murati kickstarted her corporate journey with Goldman Sachs as a Summer Analyst in 2011. She worked for only a few months in Tokyo, Japan.

In 2012, she moved back to the US and joined Zodiac Aerospace as an Advanced Concepts Engineer. She worked there for only around a year before joining Tesla in 2013.

Her role was Senior Product Manager of Model X. She worked in the role for three years and then secured the role of VP of Product & Engineering at Leap Motion in 2016.

In June 2018, she joined OpenAI as VP of Applied AI & Partnerships. Two years later, in December 2020, she became the SVP of Research, Product & Partnerships. In May 2022, she was promoted to the position of Chief Technology Officer.
