Personal Life

She pursued a BA degree from the University of British Columbia. During her time, she joined the university’s Improv club.

Though she did her first-ever standup at 19, she has been performing comedy acts since the age of 10. However, she never thought of pursuing comedy as a profession. But things changed quickly following her first standup set.

Career

Madeline kick-started her comedy career by performing at various locations across BC. However, she eventually moved to Los Angeles in search of better opportunities.

While doing comedy, she also worked at Kelly&Kelly and CBC, showcasing her skills in writing and creativity. At CBC, she co-hosted the podcast Let’s Make a Sci Fi! alongside Ryan Beil and Mark Chavez in 2022 & 2023. It was featured as one of the Best Podcasts of 2022 on The New Yorker.

Additionally, she was a writer of the news show This Hour Has 22 Minutes. As per IMDb, she has 35 credits under this role.

Coming back to her comedy career, she consistently performed at various clubs such as Union Hall (New York), Chill x Studio (Vancouver), Lyric Hyperion Theater & Cafe (LA), etc.

She gained popularity by sharing short clips from performances and comedy skits on social media. Though she doesn’t have a YouTube channel, a few of her comedy sets are uploaded on channels such as Just For Laughs, CBC Comedy, Comedy Here Often, etc.
