Ethnicity

Brandon H. Lee is Korean descent. His father Yong Hyeok Lee is a Taekwondo Grand Master who founded Lee’s Champion Taekwondo Academy in Minnesota. Additionally, he released two books namely Fast and Curious & Bullyproof Vol.2.

He has an elder brother Brian Lee who is married to Toni Lee. The couple shared cooking videos of Korean & Italian cuisine on their Panda’s Kitchen YouTube channel.

Personal Life

Lee was inspired to act after watching a Jackie Chan film at age 3. He would try to recreate action scenes from the movie.

Holam took taekwondo classes growing up and is a 5th-degree black belt holder. He competed in various competitions and even won the 2019 US National Taekwondo World Class Free Style Poomsae.

He graduated from Mounds View High School. Brandon represented his high school team in long jump and sprint sports events.

For his bachelor’s degree in Sports Sciences, he attended the University of Minnesota-Duluth. However, he dropped out of college mid-way and moved to Los Angeles.

Though he wanted to act as a child, he never took it seriously. It wasn’t until his sophomore year at university that he first took acting classes. He would travel about three hours to attend weekly acting classes.

His achievements in taekwondo helped him make it to the US national team. However, he rejected the offer to pursue a career in acting. He continues to train as he aims to become an action actor.

Career

Brandon H. Lee debuted with the short film Just in Case in 2019. It was followed by a cameo role in the 2021 TV series Generation.

In the same year, he earned credits in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings for being a stunt double of Simu Liu. He also has another credit as a fight choreographer in the short film Naruto: Legend of the Drunken Fist.

In 2022, he made two short film appearances Broken and Up Front. In 2024, he secured a prominent role as Kwon in the popular Netflix TV series Cobra Kai. He was included in the sixth season and appeared in two episodes of the first part.

Apart from this, he has a self-titled YouTube channel where he posts comedy skits and acting reels. The channel serves as a source of entertainment for viewers and helps him grab acting opportunities through his acting skills.
